I used a different technique with this drawing. I have been reading "Colored Pencil Painting Bible" by Alyona Nickelsen. She suggests using a solvent to mix the layers of colored pencil together. This was my first attempt at using a solvent . It really helps blend the various layers of colors together. I plan to practice this technique more.

I've never tried a solvent, I bought some and was a little frightened of it so I will be following your so far brilliant start with eagerness!
